It should be easy to move a pickup, dually, lifted 4x4, or work truck across state lines. With authorized and insured carriers, precise ETAs, and equipment that matches your vehicle's specifications, Wimple arranges door-to-door truck transport. For the best deal, go with an open carrier; for superior protection, go with an enclosed one. What counts as truck shipping
From small pickups to large models and utility builds, truck shipping covers it all. Ford F-150 to F-550, Ram 1500 to 3500, Silverado and Sierra 1500 to 3500HD, Toyota Tacoma and Tundra, Nissan Frontier and Titan, Rivian, F-150 Lightning, and other EV trucks, along with dually and service body configurations, are a few examples. In order for us to assign the appropriate trailer and loading technique, please let us know about any lift kits, oversized tires, toolboxes, toppers, ladder racks, winches, or aftermarket bumpers.

Trailer types and equipment we use
For the majority of stock pickups and many mildly modified trucks, a multi-car open carrier
For high-value, show, or recently restored builds, an enclosed trailer is useful; it's also useful for very low ground clearance.
For wide stances, dually rears, or rural access where a large rig is not the best option, use a hotshot flatbed.
When overall height, wheelbase, or curb weight surpass standard auto carrier limits, a step deck or lowboy is used.
For low approach angles and decreased scrape risk, use a liftgate or longer ramps.
When available, manufacturer tie points are utilized in conjunction with soft straps or wheel nets to safeguard wheels and finishes.
We can send a winch-equipped carrier and add time for safe loading if your truck is not working.
How truck shipping works
1. Choose a service level and get a quote
Enter your dates, make and model, any modifications, and the ZIP codes for pickup and delivery. All-inclusive prices for both open and enclosed spaces are displayed. Call for an expedited plan so we can verify live capacity if you require the earliest pickup possible.
2. Carrier assignment
We pair your shipment with a verified driver who already operates your lane and has active DOT and MC authority. For your records, you can request carrier identifiers and insurance certificates.
3. Pickup coordination
Before arriving, your driver makes a call or sends a text. We assist in choosing a nearby, secure, and lawful meeting place, such as a shopping mall with wide lanes, if a big truck is unable to reach your street.
4. Inspection and loading
The driver takes pictures of your car and records its condition on the Bill of Lading. When necessary, a liftgate or low angle ramps are used for loading. For peace of mind, you save your own pictures.
5. Transit and updates
With the necessary breaks, most long-distance drivers travel between 500 and 700 miles every day. ETAs are shared by your advisor according to weather, traffic, distance, and routing.
6. Delivery and sign off
Meet at your home or the nearest secure area. Before signing, inspect the car, make any necessary notes on the Bill of Lading, and compare it to the pickup notes.
What affects the cost to ship a truck

Dimensions and weight
How a car fits on a trailer depends on its bed length, cab size, lift height, tire width, and accessories. A different kind of trailer might be needed for trucks that are taller or wider.

Dually rear axles
Additional width may force the job to be done on a step deck or hotshot, which alters the cost.

Operability
Winching time and preparation for steering and braking during loading are necessary for non-running trucks.
Timing you can plan around
The following timing bands should be planned for after pickup. These show the necessary driver rest and normal daily progress.
These windows can be altered by traffic, weather, and multi-stop routing. You will receive updates from your advisor.
Special cases we handle
Trucks with large tires and modified approach angles were raised and leveled.
Show builds and lowered trucks that benefit from liftgate loading and enclosed trailers
Wider utility and dually trucks or tool cabinets that need a step deck or hotshot
Winch loading and additional time on site for non-running or flood-damaged vehicles
Service racks, toppers, and graphics on fleet and commercial pickups require precise timing and routing.
Door to door, clearly defined
Door to door means that a large carrier will pick you up and deliver it to your address, or as close as is safe and permitted by law. We set up a close-by meeting spot with easy access if a trailer is unable to navigate turns, trees, or local restrictions. This maintains safe, efficient, and compliant loading and unloading.

Why choose Wimple for your truck shipping needs

Dually transport
Due to their wider rear axle and heavier curb weight, dually pickups require the proper equipment. When width or height are necessary, we assign step deck trailers or hotshot flatbeds. For safe loading, drivers use low angle ramps and soft straps or wheel nets. To ensure we match the right trailer, please provide the precise width, tire size, and any toolboxes or racks.

Affordable rates
Save with precise specs and clever routing. We reduce deadhead and cost per mile by matching your lane and dates with carriers that are already in the area. For the majority of trucks, open carrier offers the best value. Additional savings can be obtained through multi-vehicle orders, flexible pickup windows, and metro to metro starts. No hidden costs or up-front payments.
Seamless experience
From quote to delivery, your advisor takes care of everything. We verify access, arrange a truck-friendly meeting spot in case of congested streets, and provide you with precise estimated times of arrival. At pickup and drop-off, drivers complete photo-verified Bill of Lading inspections. You receive door-to-door coordination with easy next steps at each stage, ensuring safe and lawful access.
