Military POV shipping at a glance
One privately owned vehicle may be shipped or stored by the Department of Defense for numerous OCONUS moves. The DoD global POV contractor, PCSmyPOV at the moment, handles appointments and status. Military OneSource describes when shipment or storage is applicable and provides links to the official resources. Unless there is a specific entitlement, the majority of CONUS members drive their POV or use a private carrier at their own expense.

How military car shipping works with Wimple
1) The quote and available options
Provide dates, vehicle information, ZIP codes for pickup and delivery, and if you would rather have open or enclosed transportation. There are no additional costs when we price your lane; all rates are included.
2) Carrier assignment
We match your job with an existing DOT and MC-licensed carrier on your route. In FMCSA systems, you can confirm insurance and authority.
3) Pickup coordination

4) Bill of Lading and photos

5) Transit and ETAs

Maintain a fuel level of about a quarter. Offer an extra key.
Take care of any leaks. Tell us about special start procedures, battery cutoffs, or fuel cells.
