Auto auction car shipping and vehicle transport
Get the bid. We take care of the delivery, paperwork, and pickup. When access is limited, Wimple arranges for insured and licensed carriers to release items at auction and delivers them to your address or a secure location nearby. For the best deal, go with an open carrier; for expensive or fragile vehicles, go with an enclosed service. Only forklift-only and non-running units are accepted.

How auction transport works
1) Provide your information
Give the name of the auction, the branch, the buyer's name or buyer number, the lot number or run number, and the precise release contact. Include information about the damage level, ground clearance, keys, and operability.
2) Get an all inclusive price
Distance, lane demand, trailer type, operability, and timing are all factors that affect rates. No hidden costs or up-front payments.
3) Carrier assignment
We find a vetted, DOT and MC-licensed driver who is already close to the branch for your job. Insurance certificates can be obtained upon request.
4) Release and pickup
You send or upload the Gate Pass or release document that the auction needs. The driver fills out a Bill of Lading, takes pictures of the car, signs in, and complies with yard regulations.
5) Transit and ETAs
With the necessary rest, most long-distance runs cover 500-700 miles each day. Based on distance, route, and weather, your advisor provides you with up-to-date, realistic ETAs.
6) Delivery
Delivery is made to your driveway or, in the event that street access is restricted, to a nearby secure and authorized location. You sign the Bill of Lading after reviewing the conditions.
Auction specific guidance
Copart
- Before shipping, make sure your item is paid for and the release is prepared.
- On sale day, many locations offer a brief period of free storage; after that, daily fees apply. To avoid fees, schedule pickup as soon as possible.
- Forklift-only and non-runner vehicles are prevalent. Please let us know if the vehicle has flood damage, missing wheels, locked steering, or no keys.
IAA
- Verify the vehicle's eligibility for release and that storage schedules are understood.
- A forklift or non-runner dock might be necessary for heavy loads. Give us your status ahead of time so we can reserve the appropriate carrier and time.
Manheim
- A Gate Pass is required for paid units. You can email it or download it from your account.
- Keep an eye out for yard hours, title holds, and arbitration holds. To expedite loading, specify the precise lot location.
ADESA
- Give the buyer's information and Gate Pass, either digitally or in print, as requested by the yard.
- Before we send the truck, please confirm the branch's hours and any appointment requirements.
America's Auto Auction
- This network has site-specific local forms and policies. Verify the release procedures and provide your advisor with the necessary paperwork so the driver can pick up on the first try.
For every auction, send the release document, a contact's cell number at the yard, and explicit notes regarding keys and operability. Dry runs and storage costs are avoided as a result.
Salvage and non-runner handling

How to avoid storage fees and re-handles
- Quickly clear the holds and pay the invoice.
- As soon as the release is available, send it.
- Provide the precise lot location and any branch appointment guidelines.
- If at all possible, schedule a pickup window of one to two days.
- Verify the damage notes, keys, and operability so that the appropriate equipment is sent.
Improve your logistics and lower your costs with Wimple

Proven auction logistics
We deal with auction releases on a daily basis and are aware of the specifics that cause buyers to lag. Our team works with title or arbitration holds, non-runner and forklift only units, gate passes, lot locations, and appointment rules. Your advisor organizes paperwork and photographs from the yard to the driveway, and carriers are screened, licensed, and insured.

Fast pickup and delivery
Storage clocks are quick. In order to ensure that loading occurs on the first try, we prioritize trucks that are already close to your branch, aim for a pickup window of one to two days when feasible, and arrange branch hours. If access is limited, you can choose a quick meet-point at delivery and receive proactive ETAs.

Lower cost per mile
Accurate specs and clever routing can help you save money. For the majority of units, open carrier offers the best value. Flexible pickup windows allow us to fit your load onto an existing run, and multi-vehicle bundles on the same lane reduce the cost per car. There are no additional costs; the price is all-inclusive.
